Chafing Dishes and Seafood Regina

This week I was pleasantly surprised that this chafing dish in bright orange/red was featured on the Etsy Vintage Society Blog's Tastes Like Vintage: Seafood Regina. There's just something about a chafing dish that makes any meal an "event". Anytime you combine friends, family, good seafood and a chafing dish it's going to be a hit!

Who is Bravo?

I found this wonderful Mid-century painting signed "Bravo" in Canton, MI. As always I would love to know more about the artist / maker. I am guessing it was probably a Michigan native by the topic. It looks like a typical fishing boat on Lake Michigan or possibly Lake Erie.

Winter MCM Finds

The winter months are the hardest months to find great MCM items but with a little effort and willingness to go new places it can be done. This past week I seem to be focusing on metal objects like the Bodum tea kettle by Carsten Jorgensen. I never really notice what I'm doing until I get home and put it all out on a table. So yeah for brass, stainless steel and copper!!! It all works! :)
